IFOAM World Board meeting

It has been a tiring few days – meetings in Rome and Bonn. International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM), holds its World Board meetings twice a year – in April and Oct. This was the first full fledged 3 day meeting. A bit difficult as one had to digest the huge range of issues and the enormous amount of reading material that was downloaded onto our plates. Thankfully, we managed, especially that different folks bring different competencies – a very diverse and rich board – 2 from Latin America, 2 from Africa and 2 Mathews!!

Suganthi has been selected for the 1st stage of the Mentoring Women in Business programme by the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women. The Cherie Blair Foundation for Women has developed an innovative solution that combines mentoring with technology to offer cross-border support to women entrepreneurs in developing and emerging economies. The Mentoring Women in Business programme partners women entrepreneurs from around the globe with successful business people. Women with entrepreneurial aspirations are mentored by entrepreneurs or mid-career professionals for a minimum of 12 months.

We need somebody to spread the word around, especially, the IT companies and large hotels, that there is a Green Shop, in Mysore. Somebody who can volunteer for this would be a great help.
