Northern Region - Book on the forest plants in the Northern Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve.

This book is the second volume in the series covering the dominant plant species in the landscape of the Sigur plateau, Mudumalai, Bandipur, and Nagarhole regions. These areas together form the northern slopes of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. These forests range from dry deciduous to moist deciduous and are found as large extensive tracts. The evergreen and semi-evergreen types, found in smaller fragmented areas within these tracts, have not been covered in this volume. The plants in this volume have been documented through the various surveys that were done in the region to locate indigenous bees. The adivasis of the Sigur plateau, viz. Irula and Jenukurumba were our resource persons for this book.

Eastern Region - Field guide on the forest plants of the Eastern Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve.

This is the first & foremost volume in the series of publications about the flora of the Nilgiris with its focus on the eastern slopes of the region. This book gives you an insight into the high diversity of flora existing in the eastern region. It contains intricate descriptions about each plant and will help as a field guide for field workers, students, naturalists & many others like-minded as the former. A guide that will be facile for newbie nature enthusiasts to grasp as well.

North-Eastern Region - Field guide on the forest plants of the North Eastern Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve.

Southern Region - Field guide on the forest plants of the Southern Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve.

This is the third in a series of publications about the flora of this region. These books are an effort at increasing interest in wild and native plants amongst non-specialists. The Southern Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve hosts a variety of habitats, ranging from dry deciduous to grasslands to riparian forest types, and is one of the lesser-known regions of the Reserve. Plants of the Pillur region are mainly recorded in this publication. Information about the plants of Pillur was collected over several years of fieldwork related to forest products, wild bee foraging plants, edible wild plants, ecological monitoring by local people, and other ecological studies conducted by the Keystone Foundation. The Adivasi people of Pillur Valley, viz. the Irula, have been our partners in this undertaking.
