The hard brown seed from the nutmeg tree (a tropical evergreen) has a warm, spicy and sweet flavor. Nutmeg is usually used in ground or grated form, and is best grated fresh. It can be used in sweet and savoury cooking. Nutmeg by Last Forest are grown in local homestead farms of the Nilgiris.
