Our Impact on
Forest Communities
More than a marketplace. A cooperative enterprise built on indigenous rights, fair trade, and forest conservation.
Estimated across the groups we source from, from our supplier impact assessment.
Cooperatives, social enterprises, trusts and NGOs that make what we sell.

Producer Communities
We work directly with 15 supplier groups - cooperatives, social enterprises, trusts and NGOs. These are not supply chains; they are partnerships. Producer groups set their own prices, manage their own harvests, and govern their own organisations. Last Forest provides market access, quality support, and fair trade infrastructure.

Biodiversity Conservation
The Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve is one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth. Our model proves that conservation and livelihoods are not in conflict when indigenous communities earn fair incomes from forest products, they become the forest's most effective protectors. Wild honey harvesting, in particular, depends on healthy bee populations, which depend on healthy forests.

Fair Livelihoods
A share of Last Forest's profits is reinvested directly into community development: healthcare, education, infrastructure, and capacity building. We do not extract value from the forest or its people. We create a system where everyone benefits: the gatherers, the artisans, the forest, and you, the buyer.
Every Purchase Makes a Difference
When you buy from Last Forest, you are directly supporting indigenous livelihoods and protecting one of the world's most important biosphere reserves.
